JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for vehicle inspection, maintenance, and repair (as well as roadside repair) of company-owned school buses and school vans
Essential functions of this position are:
1. Repair, maintain and inspect as needed, all types of equipment
2. Provide preventive maintenance to vehicles according to an established schedule.
3. Inspect, test, and align equipment in the following areas:
Brakes, steering, suspension, transmission, engine, air-conditioner, fuel system, etc.
4. Maintain/repair all equipment to federal DOT and state NYS DMV inspection and safety standards.
5. Control and maintain parts inventory, repair orders, and other required paperwork.
6. Respond to roadside vehicle breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
MUST HAVE:
- Knowledge of diesel engines.
- 3 yrs experience working/maintaining medium and heavy-duty vehicles
