This manager will be responsible from a planning, forecasting, buying perspective within a company with over 7500+SKUs. The logistics and warehouse department is separate so they need this individual to be able to communicate with that department but come from a strong background in Supply Chain Management on the planning/buying side of the business vs warehouse management.
Provide leadership and direction to the Supply Chain team
Manage all essential functions of the Supply Chain team to include mentoring, performance reviews, workflow, and staffing.
Responsible for the management of inventory
Report to Senior Leadership on future inventory/purchasing plans
Calculation of and ongoing review of open-to-buy budget (OTB) and review with Corporate Controller for approval
Enforcement of open-to-buy budget by putting controls in place and reviewing open PO reports, receiving reports, re-order reports, and replenishment reports
Monitor KPI’s and adjust supply planning strategies accordingly: Stockouts, Purchasing Budget, NMROI, Inventory Turns
Oversee shipments to ensure that goods depart our vendors’ factories by the requested ship date
Ensure that the Supply Chain team is updating dates in the ERP system in the event of delays or deviations from requested ship date
Participate in collection & analysis of vendor pricing in conjunction with the VP of Vendor Relations
Work with the Marketing/Product Development team to evaluate inventory investment on new product launches, delivery timelines, and promotional planning
Monitor changes affecting supply and demand and communicate with the Supply Planning team to adjust purchasing accordingly
