Job Details

Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor assures adherence to safety and quality regulations while producing the maximum amount of product with accordance to plant specifications and production goals. Production Supervisor will provide direct supervision and leadership for employees within the department. This position will liaison with the Plant Supervisor and QA Manager to ensure the highest level of Quality, continuous improvement, and performance Management.

Job Requirements:
1-3 years’ experience in food manufacturing production

Educational/Certification Requirements:
AS/BS in Food Science/Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the leadership of a production crew with regards to safety, quality, efficiency, and consistent application of best manufacturing practices
• Plans, assigns, schedules, and organizes labor and tasks
• Assist Plant Supervisor with delivery of company KPI’s
• Work with Plant Supervisor on continual improvement processes

-Provide analysis of production thru put

• Provides a strong floor presence and understanding of the manufacturing processes adequate to set the example for others to follow
• Provides training to shift personnel to make sure all employees have the tools necessary for optimum performance
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and policies and procedures
• Works with Plant Supervisor to review, update and write procedures (SOP’s) and work instructions as required
• Ensures the food safety requirements are met in order to produce safe food products
• Active member of the internal HACCP Team
• Ensures adherence to manufacturing specifications, standards, protocols, and procedures for quality control
• Review and approves timecards for payroll processing

• Working Knowledge of HACCP
• Problem Solving Skills and organization skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Food Safety and Quality Awareness
• Demonstrated high level of organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Bilingual in Spanish a strong plus
