Full Job Description
Global producer of advanced solutions focused on high performance textiles and textile components. Over the last decade the product offering has evolved to encompass a myriad of fibers including but not limited to glass, aramid, basalt and thermoplastic fibers. Proprietary fiber transformation processes and technologies continue to evolve on a regular basis and remain as the forefront of the company’s strategic vision. This coupled with a global manufacturing footprint allows for accelerated reaction in today’s just in time, rapidly changing marketplace. Focused end markets encompass automotive, aerospace, filtration media, medical devices, marine, thermal barriers, recreational equipment, personal protection, electronic substrates, construction materials, food processing, power generation and general industrial applications.
Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
Evaluate, implement and monitor processes and operating systems for the manufacture of fiber products.
Proactively works with business units to understand and document business requirements and conceptualize the methods and techniques for process manufacturing.
Assists in the development of project plans to meet business needs.
Utilizes data analysis, process modeling/mapping, to document current and projected production requirements.
Participates in the decision process for developing solutions. Identifies external vendor/software to meet business requirements.
Works with the Technical Analysts in conceptual design; assists in preparing detailed production and product specifications.
Partners with our customers to prioritize projects and deliverables.
Leads cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.
Participates in troubleshooting performance issues and creates business recovery plans (BRP).
Provides support and guidance to the Manufacturing Manager.
Applies Lean Manufacturing principles to production systems to improve throughput and reduce waste.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
1-5 years in quality or business process engineering preferred.
Impeccable math and statistical analysis skills
Strong interpersonal and communication / presentation skills.
A demonstrated record of being a self-starter with a bias for action.
Knowledge of fiber glass or other composite products would be a bonus.
