Job Details



The Manufacturing Manager, Metals is responsible for ensuring the safe, cost effective, and on time delivery of miscellaneous metal and rebar
products produced to internal and external customers. They will manage the metals group income statement and drive accountability through Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery of KPI’s. The Manufacturing Manager, Metals will have broad authority to change internal department processes aligned with corporate strategies.

Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working
with staff, projects and proprietary information.
 Apply Servant Leadership and engage in barrier removal to develop
each member of the team to their full potential.
 Exercise a high level of confidentiality when working with staff, projects
and proprietary information.
 Investigate and pursue internal and external opportunities to increase
revenue within the Metals Group.
 Manage the Metals Income Statement and report out financial results for
the Metals Group in the Manufacturing Monthly Financial Review
Meetings.
 Evaluate, provide ROI information, and implement approved new
technology and machinery, including robotics, that improve and
streamline the metal working processes.
 Provide vision and direction to department managers for CMW Rebar,
CMW Miscellaneous Metal, and PEP.
 Develop and implement a safety program that drives toward zero
injuries, meets company overall Total Recordable Case Rate goal,
and is aligned with Corporate Safety strategies.
 Develop and implement a quality program that assures 98% First Pass
Yield, zero customer complaints, and is aligned with company
Corporate Quality strategies.
 Develop and implement a manufacturing system that assures 98% On
Time Delivery to internal customers.
 Report out for and represent the Metals Group in the Manufacturing
Leadership Meetings.
 Collaborate with other manufacturing leaders to identify and execute on
corporate initiatives.
 Other duties as assigned.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the
ability to effectively listen and engage with all levels of the organization.
 Build strong relationships, engage and motivate teams representing
diverse backgrounds and viewpoints; exceptionally collaborative.
 Maintain attentiveness to detail and accuracy throughout involvement in
multiple projects without losing sight of goals and deadlines.
 Excellent organization skills to drive topics with multiple
stakeholders/interests.
 Demonstrated initiative to drive results aligning with established goals
and objectives.
 Problem solving skills that aim to remedy and prevent reoccurrence.
 Comfortable escalating issues while maintaining positive relationships
with team members and other organizations.
 Passionate about company vision and mission; able to promote,
demonstrate, and communicate the mission, values and core
competencies of company to others.
 Strong financial acumen, including a thorough understanding of financial
reports, how to interpret and impact them.
 Able to exercise appropriate discretion when handling confidential and/or
sensitive information.
 Display willingness and interest in stepping up into greater leadership
role if the situation requires or the opportunity presents itself.
 Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Business travel, Trips to PEP in Adelanto California as needed (10%)

Undergraduate degree (or equivalent), preferably with a specialization in
business or engineering; MBA or other relevant master’s degree
preferred.
 Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry with
demonstrable escalating scope of responsibility is preferred.
 3 – 5 years’ experience managing an entire facility is preferred.
 Familiarity with Fabsuite, Soule, Viewpoint, and AutoCAD software
preferred.
 High level understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Toyota Production
System concepts is preferred.
