Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year

We are a 25 bed critical access hospital located in a wonderful community known for wine, sun, stunning natural beauty and adventures throughout all 4 seasons.

We require an experienced HR Director who will be responsible for the planning, administration, and monitoring of all employee-related compensation and
benefits programs, recruitment, policy and procedure development, employee rewards and disciplinary processes, and general employee counseling/consultations.

This position reports to the CEO.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Maintains and updates human resource policies.
2. Supports strategic objectives.
3. Evaluates and manages employee benefits coverage and the employee compensation
system.
4. Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to ensure a robust and diverse
applicant pool for all openings.
5. Train, coach, and support managers to navigate evaluation, training, promotion,
discipline, termination, and other HR issues.
6. Negotiates benefit options, plans and contracts for health and supplemental insurances.
7. Maintains department reports and records according to Washington state records
retention guidelines for public entities and employers.
8. Collects and prepares statistical data for administrative and regulatory reporting.
9. Works to develop on-going recruitment and retention strategies.
10. Organizes new employee general orientation and completes exit interviews.
11. Provides training and coaching in areas of management, interviewing techniques, and
incident investigation.
12. Understand, interpret and share relevant laws related to personnel management and
ensures all HR processes and actions comply with these laws.
13. Develop and implement an enhanced performance management system for employee
evaluation.
14. Maintains confidentiality with regards to employee information.
15. Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or similarly
relevant field preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources with senior leadership experience
preferred, preferably in a healthcare setting.
3. Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated mentoring and coaching capabilities
4. Demonstrated experience leading HR department(s) through strategic and transactional change.
5. Must have excellent problem-solving skills for resolutions to complex and confidential matters
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing skills with meticulous attention
to detail.
7. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification preferred.
8. Public hospital experience strongly preferred.
