Report to Chief Engineering & Operations Officer
Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays and unexpected cost.
Develop and program enterprise level Energy Management, Quality and Lean Manufacturing systems to drive continuous improvements in our manufacturing operations.
Develop interfaces to plant floor automation control systems (programmable logic controllers).
Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate various types of field instrumentation (i.e. pressure transmitters, RTD’s, load cells, etc.) and their interface to the control system.
Support or implement Predictive Maintenance monitoring on production lines and facility drive equipment.
Write and install control programs as needed for equipment or system functionally.
Responsible for teaching controls software and equipment upgrades to plant technicians, as well as, how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot intricate control systems.
Provide electrical troubleshooting and general electrical engineering support to Maintenance personnel for all facility/utility equipment (i.e. compressed air, water, etc.).
Lead process line improvements/optimization and other special projects as assigned, in a cost effective and timely manner.
Read and update electrical drawings, manuals/schematics, P&ID’s, and instrumentation lists as required.
Provide operating instructions and/or training of production manufacturing equipment to other facility associates.
Maintains high level of controls/electronic technology, developments and applies this knowledge in support of a continuous improvement effort.
Work within the role to uphold a high level of leadership in upholding values of compliance and support for the human resources, environment health and safety policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field required (or equivalent experience in electrical or related field)
5-7 years of industrial maintenance experience or advanced education in electrical, mechanical, or electronics engineering
5 years of PLC ladder logic programming experience
Knowledge of capital project management.
Strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical systems and its application in automated industrial design.
