Job Details

Provides the leadership and direction for managing the operation's financial position, financial interpretation, assets, procurement activity, and internal controls. Directs the development of annual operating plans, budgets, monthly forecasts, cost reduction initiatives/recommendations and profitability.

Has to be a self-starter with “intellectual curiosity,” meaning a desire to dig and understand why and how the finances work and how the manufacturing process steps translate into financial transactions.

Must have a background in internal controls and process improvement.

We are a lean organization, so although these are management level roles, that are not “reviewers of others work” roles. They need to roll sleeves and dig into the details.

Successfully completes monthly fast-paced closing cycles to properly reflect the financial position of the plant - profit & loss, capital base and cash from operations.
Directs and oversees monthly physical inventories.
Provides financial analysis support/guidance to all line managers, Plant Manager and GM.
Directs and completes the planning, forecasting and budgeting processes of the operation.
Monitors the financial policies, practices and procedures of the operation.
Ensures the necessary internal controls (and compensating controls) to safeguard the Company's Assets
Manage capital spending requests, including calculating payback and developing sound business cases to present to management requesting capital funds.
Provides financial and manufacturing analysis of both a recurring and ad-hoc nature to management outside of the Operations.
Provide product line profitability analysis used in the up-front quoting process and updated throughout the product life cycle.

Must haves:
SAP, Manufacturing/fabrication/automotive experience, business partnering, public accounting experience
