Job Store Staffing is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor for a growing manufacturing company in the Lafayette area. This is a great temp to hire opportunity!
Hours: M - F 7 am - 3:30 pm
Pay: 38 k a year, DOE
Key Job Duties:
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning and scheduling, conducting performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.
Cultivate a positive culture within and across the team.
Responsible for documenting all sanitation activities and sanitation-related documents. Author, revise and approve SOPs, charts and forms for the facility.
Responsible for inventory management of supplies for staff welfare (break room supplies), janitorial supplies, restroom supplies, washroom supplies, etc.
Serve as the main contact for facility sanitation programs (pest control, grounds maintenance, coffee service, uniform service etc.).
Manage the pest control program. Act as the primary contact for the service provider, schedule, escort, and monitor activities during inspections. Track and trend findings to management.
Conduct monthly facility sanitation GMP audits, monitor cleaning records, and report findings to departments. Follow up and close out corrective actions and final reports.
Act as principal sanitation contact during facility audits.
Coordinate with management to interpret and implement GMP regulations, sanitation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure that the equipment and facility environment is safe, clean and lean.
Develop and communicate goals and required actions at regularly held meetings and cascade vital operational information to other groups. Expected to be an active participant and leader in the RedZone productivity system.
Ensure key performance indicators (KPI’s), daily performance targets, reporting metrics, and variance thresholds are met or exceeded, and drive for accountability and solutions when they are not. Responsible for providing accurate and timely reports and updates on KPI progress.
Must be able to read,write and converse in the English Language. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Must be able to work in a variety of conditions.
Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
Maintain good attendance.
Perform other projects / duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED
Good math and computer skills
Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Sanitation Certification or ability to obtain certification
