Jillson Company is seeking a Civil Engineer to join Jillson's team, a talented group of engineers, surveyors and overall-problem-solvers. This position is for a mid-to-senior level engineer that is able to take the initiative on projects and collaborate internally and externally with city and town agents/regulators, attorneys, architects, contractors and private home-owners through all phases of a project. Given Jillson's integrated composition, the role affords a chance to work closely with staff across different areas of expertise and provides exposure to a variety of project and client types.

The candidate will be active throughout a project's full lifecycle — from concept design to final construction documents and during construction administration. The position includes environmental permitting applications and processes at both the state and local level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading the civil engineering design of projects
  • Developing site plans for a variety of land-development and building projects
  • Designing stormwater management and utility systems
  • Permitting applications and supporting reports
  • Synthesizing construction details
  • Participating in construction administration activities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

8-15 years' experience

Registered Professional Engineer (PE), a plus

Experience working on land-development and building projects

Experience with a variety of design software and programs (AutoCAD, HydroCAD, Civil 3D) as well as Microsoft Office

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Travel 20% - must have a license in good standing and a vehicle
