We are seeking someone with Entry level graphic design skills for a long-term contract opportunity with a manufacturing company. This person must be willing to do receptionist work for an hour or so daily as well.
This position is responsible for all advanced knowledge of USPS mailing standards and managing literature used in production of products, sales leads, and order fulfillment.

Mailing standards will include but not limited knowledge of USPS mailing options including different mail classes; CASS certification of all address data bases performed on a quarterly basis; working with external companies to get mail removed from their databases; opening of incoming US Mail; applying correct postage to all outgoing US Mail; folding of sales orders & invoices; educating employees on proper address format and standards; distribution of all mail to factory areas; updating of bulletin boards throughout facility; filling employee orders for paper and office supplies.
Literature responsibilities for maintaining all product literature and catalogs/handouts. This includes cross checking revision dates in SharePoint. Printing of any literature for use on production floor, shipped to customers via sales leads, fulfills literature orders for sales force and distributors. Requires a detail oriented quality for making sure printed literature is crisp/clear piece. Responsible for printing misc. forms, documents requested by employees on an as needed bases. Maintains paper inventory needed to print various pieces. Orders paper stock when necessary from vendors.
This employee will provide receptionist back up on a daily basis.
Produces and ships literature, catalogs and handouts; updates literature files, prints / fulfills sales leads. Sorts US mail, delivers mail to factory 2 times per day. Posts outgoing US Mail using postage machine/scale, folds invoices and sales orders daily on folder-inserter machine. Works with IT department to get & prepare various address databases for validation of addresses in USPS approved CASS certified software. Works with departments to get addresses corrected once errors are known. Updates the software tables on a quarterly basis
Fills supply requisitions for stocked office supplies, forms and envelopes. Keys transactions in BPCS and corrects inventory discrepancies. Back up switchboard operator on daily basis. Additional projects, tasks, and/or assignments as assigned.
Attention to detail is a must! Working on high speed digital copiers/printers (not printing presses). Processing incoming mail.
Graphic Design/Graphic Arts background would be ideal. If worked in copy center would be ideal - but this skill can be taught.
Requires ability to lift 50 lb boxes of paper, bend and twist.
1-3 years work experience required for this position.
Major or area of specialization required: Advanced knowledge of postal regulations
Preferred level of education and specialization: post high school business classes
