Position Description:

Provides basic nursing care to the patient and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and nurse leaders. Works with nursing team to provide timely care to patients throughout their perioperative experience.

Major Responsibilities

• Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients on the day of their procedure.
• Provides information/explanations to patients and families within scope of practice.
• Assists providers with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of an RN.
• Overall departmental support activities as needed.

Required

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Current Washington State Nurse Assistant-Certified required
• Current AHA BLS/CPR (Healthcare Provider) required

Preferred

• One-year nursing assistant experience in personal care services (hospital, skilled nursing facility, home health or clinic setting) preferred

Schedule

1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week; Day Shift
