The **Cost Accountant** is a crucial position on the Prattville, Alabama site project team, who will be building our 11th and largest plant in Prattville, Alabama! The role will lead the tracking, reporting and analysis for the two year build estimated at $220 billion. The individual will be an integral member of the site project team and will report directly to the Finance Manager of North America Engineering located in Chicago.

**To be considered for this position, you MUST have:**
Strong analytical abilities and organization skills, including exceptional attention to detail and an aptitude to manage several reporting package deadlines at once
+ Bachelor's Degree in finance and/or accounting required.
+ Cost Accounting experience - standard costing, material, labor and overhead variance analysis in a manufacturing environment
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups/hlookups, sumifs, graphs/charts)
**Responsibilities and Skillset**
Specifically, he/she will be expected to:
Provide financial support in budget finalization, variance tracking, cash forecasting, management reporting, accounting support and analysis of line and plant startup performance. (70%)
+ Collaborate with plant engineering design team to verify budgets, validate assumptions, track variance drivers and coordinate documentation management.
+ Manage cash forecasting through tracking large purchase agreement payment timing, monitoring foreign exchange rate impact and validating crucial invoice receipts, approvals and payments.
+ Provide summary management reporting and commentary on financial performance against budget.
+ Work directly with the project accounting team to review, verify and correct both purchase orders and invoicing treatment.
+ Support in the creation of a startup financial plan through partnering with prior startup facilities, determining key assumptions and financially modeling alternative startup scenarios.
+ Partner with the plant startup teams in forecasting, performance analysis and cost tracking to ensure manufacturing gates and associated cost targets are achieved.
Provide project support through managing key timeline targets, vendor relationships and taxation law application. (30%)
+ Track project team timeline and provide status updates utilized in executive summary reporting.
+ Partner with business to understand, validate and apply taxation laws and incentives specific to the plant site.
Following project completion, the individual will transition into a role within the Prattville, Alabama accounting team as a cost accountant.
