Corporate Insurance Analyst

The Insurance Analyst is a key risk management team member supporting company-wide risk management initiatives, including insurance wrap-up programs administration and subcontractor insurance management. This individual is responsible for coordinating, analyzing, executing and supporting the day-to-day activities related to corporate risk management programs.

Essential duties + responsibilities

  • Perform responsibilities with excellence in service, integrity and building relationships as exemplified in DAVIS core values
  • Manage day-to-day interactions between all project participants (internal and external) and departments related to insurance initiatives including wrap-up programs and subcontractor insurance analysis
  • Function as the lead DAVIS contact for all wrap-up administrators and enrolled parties
  • Manage the enrollment of projects into the rolling GL wrap-up program
  • Update wrap-up manuals as needed per project-specific requirements
  • Educate project personnel on responsibilities and activities with respect to wrap-up program procedures and mechanics including subcontractor enrollment, reporting and documentation requirements, and close-out procedures, if any
  • Provide project teams with ongoing support and monitor projects covered under wrap-up programs through construction life cycle
  • Collect and analyze data related to subcontractor insurance costs and financial performance of wrap-ups
  • Review, compare and analyze wrap-up policy terms and conditions
  • Analyze contract language with respect to insurance requirements and associated risks, as well as wrap-up enrollment status, to make decisions with respect to subcontractor insurance requirements and exception approvals
  • Maintain records of subcontractor communications with respect to insurance requirements
  • Manage the certificate of insurance non-compliant assignments to bring deficient items into compliance by working with project teams, subcontractors, brokers and certificate administrator to resolve issues
  • Assist with insurance policy documentation, including binders, endorsements and schedules
  • Manage builder's risk project tasks, including annual and quarterly reporting to insurer, and premium allocations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills
* Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management or related field*
  • ARM or CRIS certifications, or working towards certification
  • Decision making, research, analytical and problem-solving skills*
  • Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and
  • demands, and to work independently*
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and interact effectively at all levels within the organization*
  • MS Office - Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience*


Required Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year professional work experience*
  • One to three years of experience in risk management, legal, or insurance industry preferred
  • Wrap-up administration experience a plus
  • Construction industry or insurance brokerage experience a plus
