Plant General Manager

Jacob Darr Associates is a Manufacturing HR Consulting Firm who has been exclusively retained to conduct a search for a Plant General Manager in Madera, California.  Our client is in the Building/Construction Manufacturing Industry and has just built a state of the art, fully-automated manufacturing facility. We are seeking a very experienced, strategic, servant leader who will become our Plant General Manager.

We are seeking a Plant General Manager to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams
• Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
• Manage the P&L
• Manage and oversee all Continuous Improvement Activities 
• Manage and oversell all Lean Manufacturing Activities 
• Manage and oversee all Machine Uptime projects 
• Place production orders from customers
• Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Be very involved in our company culture; servant leadership.

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Plant Manager in a plant with 100 or greater employees
• Deep knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing 
• Bachelor Degree or Higher 
• Knowledge of production tools and equipment
• Strong leadership qualities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
