JST is seeking an IT Program/Project Manager to join our technical team within a government environment. The IT Prog Mgr/PM will provide leadership, management and guidance to contractors and senior level government leadership. The ideal team member will offer extensive technical expertise and experience developing and managing business processes. As the IT Program/Project Manager you will be responsible for presenting information to our government customer and recommending solutions to support the overall mission.

IT Program/Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Support the Government with defining requirements, develop/find technical solutions, work plans that are consistent with architectural and information system security guidelines and policies, and update local procedures explaining how to prepare and process communication system requirements
  • Assist the Government with the AF Way (AFWAY) process in submitting requests for quotes, creating orders, tracking order status, and executing the AFWAY waiver process for buying ADPE outside of the AFWAY process
  • Determine what resources are available for installation and maintenance of equipment and include in the work plan; consider what logistics support the system needs and coordinate maintenance planning, supply support, technical data, manpower, facilities, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation
  • Support the Government in the development of certification and accreditation (C&A) packages IAW AF Policy Directive (AFPD) 17-1, AFSSI 7703, DoDI 8510.01, DODI 8500.01, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503, SP 800-53v4 , DoD 8570-01 M, CNSSI 1253, and, DoD Joint Security Implementation Guide (DJSIG), and provide the Designated Approval Authority (DAA) and/or Certifying Authority with system certification and accreditation recommendations
  • Perform facility layout and engineering for all divisions. Coordinate security accreditation issues, equipment placement, and equipment cooling and power requirements. Participate in planning forums, briefings, conferences, and meetings to keep informed on internal and external resources
  • Maintain and update the existing configuration management database for all systems (hardware and software) and communications equipment (hardware and software)
  • Administer, maintain, edit, and train contractors and government employees on Microsoft platforms of PowerBI, PowerAPP, and PowerAutomate
  • Comply with certification/education/training requirements as mandated in DoD 8570.01 M (i.e.,
  • commercial/industry certifications)

IT Program/Project Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, IT or relevant field OR equivalent related professional experience
  • Top Secret Clearance required
  • 10+ years of experience managing government programs and projects
  • PMP certification desired
  • Configuration management experience
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams and government customers
  • Experience developing training programs
  • Outstanding Customer Service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Must be available for on-call support as needed

Required Clearances and Screenings

  • Must possess an active Top-Secret Clearance
  • COVID 19 requirements are in line with government policies and CDC guidance
