Job Description

One of the largest providers of advanced planning and optimization software solutions and consulting services is seeking a Regional Account Manager for their Northeast office in Philadelphia, PA.

The Regional Account Manager’s (RAM) role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. The RAM’s responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. RAM’s also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Experience and Product Services departments) to improve the entire customer experience. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Sales Operations.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

· Must reside in close proximity to Philadelphia

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Company's core products via successful completion of required sales training program and utilize this knowledge to successfully engage new prospects retain and upsell to new customers.
  • Must be able to travel to King of Prussia - weekly
  • Consistently ensure that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with Company values.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters (e.g. commercial, technical, financial, etc.)
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships on multiple levels within the customer’s organization
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow new and known opportunities with current customers and new prospects within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Continuously research and remain knowledgeable of industry trends and competition
  • Attend/host conferences, professional association meetings, networking events, etc. and promote Company product solutions and brand to increase leads and drive sales
  • Complete sales forecasts and sales activity reports and presentations in a timely manner
  • Monitor and maintain data quality within the sales and marketing automation platform
  • Develop account management and account development plans to manage the existing account and to strategically further develop Company's business at existing customers
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing and Sales Support team for Marketing and Lead Generation activities
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)

Education:

BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field

Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years software sales or account management experience

· Demonstrated leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

· Demonstrated effectiveness in new business development strategies and lead qualification

· Solid Software or IT Sales

Experience with Manufacturing, Retail, Energy, Transportation Industries

· Ability to travel as required meeting team and department goals (up to 50%)

· Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager

· Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization,

· Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Synergy CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)

· Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs

· Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

· Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities

· Strong verbal and written communication skills
