Junior Project Manager-High Rise Mixed Use/Luxury Residential Projects

Job Description

  • Assist Project Manager in obtaining all entitlements for project
  • Manage and implement projects through entitlement process, design development, construction, and project completion on several projects simultaneously
  • Work with project team to manage projects from project start to finish
  • Identify consultants needed for project
  • Work with project team to manage projects from project start to finish
  • Develop and Write project specific consultant scopes of work
  • Solicit and Engage Consultants, Professional services and Vendors
  • Analyze and qualify proposals
  • Obtain all permits and documentation necessary for project
  • Develop and Submit project budgets and schedules
  • Control Budget, Qualifications, Completion Schedule
  • Coordinate project mobilization process with Project Management
  • Assist with Architectural, Structural, and MEP Plan Coordination
  • Review Understand and Ensure Design Compliance with Hotel Requirements
  • Update and manage construction schedule
  • Communicate weekly updates to executive leadership on project
  • Update and maintain project status on internal project management software
  • Manage and review project documentation such as: subcontracts/material contracts, submittals, bid related documents, design mods, change orders, purchase orders, billings, RFIs, etc.
  • Document and track all action items as needed

General Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction principles
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents
  • Working knowledge of building code requirements, applicable laws and regulations, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of the permitting and building inspection process
  • Exceptional project management skills and extremely savvy with relevant technologies
  • Deep understanding of all phases of the construction process
  • Ability to effectively partner with Development and Architecture teams
  • Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner and based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment. Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a consultative instinct
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of delivering quality

Education:

  • Candidates with a degree in business or construction management
