Currently, JKL manages a diverse portfolio of large apartment communities, commercial office buildings, and research & development buildings.

 

Job Summary:

 

Responsible for supervising the operation of multiple commercial office and retail properties in the Bay Area. The Assistant Property Manager works in the regional property management office and reports directly to the Vice President. In charge of various aspects of property management which includes operational, financial, and administrative duties. Coordinates and leads a variety projects with the senior management staff, engineering staff, design consults, and contractors.

 

This position is open to both entry-level candidates and experienced candidates who have a background in business, economics, operations research, or management. Candidates will need to be able to work on a variety of tasks and should have an interest in creating and managing an efficient business operation.

Responsibilities:

1) Review operating expenses

2) Draft notices, contracts, and other correspondence

3) Supervise maintenance personnel, onsite property management personnel, and vendors

4) Schedule facility maintenance tasks

5) Coordinate and assist in the oversight of tenant improvements and other capital projects

6) Underwrites turnover and other improvement projects

7) Adjust rent levels and monitor delinquencies

8) Perform property inspections

9) Review, code and approve invoices

10) Respond to off-hours emergencies

11) Coordinate work with third party vendors

Requirements:

1) Bachelor’s Degree Preferred - Business related helpful, but not required

2) Proficient with computers – MS Windows, MS Office, Other general applications

3) Excellent written and communication skills

4) Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills

5) Travel within the bay area is necessary, access to a car is required

6) May need to work in our other Bay Area offices (typically 1-2 days/week)

Compensation:

1) Salary Range: Competitive DOE w/ semi-annual bonuses

2) Full time exempt position

3) Medical, vision, and dental insurance
