Center for Children and Youth is a division of Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS), that helps children, teens, and families thrive as they navigate the challenges of modern life. JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager –  Center for Children and Youth Dept.
REPORTS TO:  Director of Marketing and Communications
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time with benefits
JOB LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

The Marketing Manager develops targeted outreach, in-depth analytics, and compelling, multi-channel campaigns to raise the profile of JFCS’ Center for Children and Youth. The Marketing Manager is for a results-oriented individual who can take projects from conception through completion and has a proven track record of managing integrated marketing and outreach strategies.

  • Drive marketing operations, including project management of deliverables such as brochures, flyers, event promotions, videos, e-newsletters, advertising, and other communications. Collaborate with staff and lay leaders to identify community and stakeholder needs
  • Develop and execute strategies that generate leads and increase brand awareness for JFCS’ Center for Children and Youth and its subprograms Parents Place, CTI, YouthFirst, and Jewish Baby Network
  • Act as community manager for CCY’s social media channels
  • Develop a social media strategy that will help us grow our audiences, increase engagement, and drive inquiries for our services
  • Manage vendors in social media advertising
  • Direct content creation for web, social, email, and print materials
  • Write, edit, and create simple designs as needed; coordinate with staff and vendors to create engaging, timely communications
  • Own and oversee the CCY website and ensure it is accurate, optimized, and up to date. Lead a review of the website with a view to improving user journeys and increasing web inquiries
  • Report regularly on high-level marketing and business metrics for CCY including web traffic, social media, and email, as well as leads, referral sources, and client acquisition
  • Assess the big picture of how our outreach impacts our business outcomes, ask critical questions, and develop new action plans with a data-driven mindset
  • Provide guidance and consultation to CCY program staff who are executing outreach and sales activities to ensure that their approaches are effective and in keeping with our overall strategy
  • Support with the promotion of online events and workshops
  • Work with our admin team to review our event listings and ensure they are engaging, accurate, and professional
  • Create strategies for earned media and PR; write press releases and act as primary media contact


  • 7+ years of professional experience developing, executing, and measuring marketing campaigns across multiple channels (social media, email, search)
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent experience
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Project manager extraordinaire, comfortable collaborating with various internal and external teams/vendors
  • Have conceptual talent – able to think big, be innovative, ask critical questions, and share ideas with others
  • Experience in planning, creating, and reporting on successful multi-channel marketing and/or sales campaigns
  • Ability to write clear, compelling copy for a variety of audiences
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM and experience managing vendors
  • Ability to multi-task and still meet deadlines, prioritize, and wear many hats
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully in a team
  • Excited about getting to know our audiences, empathizing and understanding their needs
  • Adaptable; ability to respond quickly and efficiently to unplanned projects and assignments
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire to be considered
  • Experience marketing to parents, teens, educators, and/or mental health professionals preferably
