General Description:
The Compounder primarily performs processing and blending of raw materials into bulk finished good format. The Compounder closely follows pre-established formulas and procedures, maintains production records, and performs quality checkpoints to ensure end product compliance to customer and company requirements. The Compounder maintains and operates simple production tools like pumps, scales, and filters.
The Compounder may also be utilized to assist with day to day warehouse functions as needed, including but not limited to: shipping and receiving, processing incoming and outgoing materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and prepping orders for shipping, organizing, retrieving, and accounting for inventory in stock, performing cycle counts and inventory audits, assisting with facility layout/organization, assisting with equipment maintenance, etc.
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Responsibilities:
· Follow pre established production procedures and formulas.
· Blend and process raw materials into final bulk form.
· Operate pumps, scales, filters, etc.
· Maintain production and quality records.
· Ensure quality protocol is followed and final products conform to customer and company requirements.
· Ensures their production area is kept clean, neat, and organized.
· Shipping/receiving, loading/unloading trucks, etc
· Processing incoming/outgoing shipments
· Picking & filling orders from stock
· Ensures products are stocked and pulled in a fashion which utilizes a FIFO (First In First Out) inventory method.
· Packing and preparing outgoing orders for shipping
· Organizing, retrieving, and accounting for inventory in stock
· Performing cycle counts and inventory audits
· Performs incoming quality inspections
· Performs tasks associated with warehouse cleanliness and organization
· Assists with equipment maintenance
· Adheres to required safety standards
· Ensures shipment documents, Bills Of Lading, shipment receipts, etc are obtained and returned to the Management Team.
· Works with management on continual process improvement.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or greater preferred
· Must speak and write English fluently.
· Must be able to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Previous Experience:
· Previous experience blending or following formulas is a plus.
· Previous warehouse experience is a plus
· Previous forklift experience/certification is a plus
