JCCA is seeking experienced and energetic Assistant Directors of Social Work to join the Residential Treatment Campus of JCCA in Pleasantville, NY. Our Campus offers a safe and supervised setting for at risk youth, ages 5-21, with developmental disabilities as well as severe emotional and behavioral challenges.
We are seeking an Assistant Director for our Pleasantville Cottage School Program, which serves children with long-term emotional and behavioral challenges
The Assistant Director of Social Work will support the day to day management of clinical teams and drive the treatment and program development of the Residential Treatment Center by performing the following essential functions:
Assist in the development and implementation of various treatment modalities
Provide administrative and clinical supervision to Social Work and Case Management staff members, which includes but is not limited to: evaluating all supervisees on a regular and timely basis, approving work schedules, paid time off and overtime within the context of agency policy and procedures
Facilitate meetings within the program including, but not limited to team, family, case planning, SPR, Red Flags, FTCs, and briefing meetings
Support supervisees with high risk cases and provide crisis management as needed
Working with the Director of Social Work to establish clinical procedures; participate in the intake process including review of referral packets, interviewing prospective residents, conducting intake meetings, etc.
Liaison with JCCA’s Foster Home Division and other programs to ensure the smooth transition of youth through the continuum of care
Collaborate with child welfare agencies, courts, hospitals, and other community agencies
Perform regular case record reviews ensuring that regulatory requirements are met
Participating in the recruiting/hiring of clinical staff and all personnel activity including, transferring, promoting and orientation of new staff
LCSW certification with prior supervisory experience in foster care or community based youth program
Solid organizational and follow-up skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with client and teams that are culturally and professionally diverse
Computer Literacy (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel)
