Windows Server Administrator

We are looking for a Windows Server Administrator/Engineer for a current contract to possible fire in the Houston, TX area

This person will be responsible for responding to system related issues in order to support requests from other IT team members. In addition, the candidate will drive and communicate high priority escalations for Technical Support team as needed. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with strong terminal services experience and who works well with a team as well as independently.

Position Summary:

• Coordinating the installation of software, updates, and security patches to ensure a functional server environment while complying with company policies.
• At least 10 years’ experience with Windows Hyper-V, Terminal Services and scripting, Office 365, Hybrid Exchange, Exchange Windows Server 2008, 2008r2 through 2019.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and System Virtualization technology
• Continually improving maintenance and support through better processes and tools

• Prior experience working with SAN and NAS devices
• Ability to support networking devices
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, WAN/LAN, VPN, firewalls, and routers
• High level of experience working with AD, IIS, and DNS
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining server systems and network infrastructure related issues
