Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales professional with experience in the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) arena. This role will focus on bringing new business through the entire sales channel. This may change based on needs of the Company and the role requires a flexible individual with the ability to change priorities.

The overall goals of this position are to support Company growth through developing and maintaining strategic and meaningful relationships with clients and become the go-go person throughout the sales process for both the external client and internal stakeholders from inception. Additionally, this position will be responsible for growing sales with existing accounts and manage the sales process from beginning to end to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and exceeding customer expectations.

Duties Include:

  • Respond to client inquiries including potential business such as RFQs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Utilize company software to gather technical data on incoming assemblies for quoting team and participate in generating accurate quotes.
  • Interface with internal teams and customers and get customer orders completed to full customer satisfaction.
  • Prospect and close relationships with key target clients.
  • Negotiate and close sales. Conduct follow ups with customers upon completion to assess customer satisfaction and future needs.
  • Identify potential new sales opportunities and establish relationships to develop new sales for the company that meet the company’s target client profile.
  • Compile prospective customer list and follow up on all generated sales leads.
  • Work with the documentation team to generate technical assembly instructions.
  • Generate machine programs for pick and place machines.
  • Drive resolution of assembly questions from the production team.
  • Engage in regular dialogues with customers to Identify new revenue opportunities. Will be expected to also grow sales at existing accounts.
  • Grow sales at existing accounts and act as key point of contact delivering an extraordinary customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain strategic client relationships allowing the company to identify and develop new revenue opportunities and increase retention rate.
  • Identify potential new sales opportunities and establish new relationships to develop new sales for the company that meet the company’s target client profile.
  • Manage the sales and client communication process. This includes communicating with clients and internal departments regarding projected due dates, troubleshooting and problem solving various delivery and other issues to ensure deadlines are met and overall creating a seamless client experience.
  • Provide comprehensive support and interface to internal departments to ensure client experience is delivered as expected and within projected deadline.
  • Collaborate with management to prepare sales projections for the fiscal year and measure results.
  • Utilizing Made2Manage, maintain critical records and documents related to sales operations.
  • Update and manage the sales forecast projections and meet with management team on a regular basis to provide updated information.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in a similar role with 2-3 years minimum within the EMS industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members, customers, vendors and other third parties.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must comply with standards set by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and be free from federal warrants and must not be on any Federal watch list.
  • ISO 9000 familiarity required.
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn and utilize other Company software.
  • Some travel required.
