Due to growth in the division, they are looking for an experienced project manager for their asphalt division. The key responsibilities of this position are to build, promote, manage and maintain profitable
projects for the KC Concrete/Asphalt Division.
1. Company-Wide duties include:
a. Represent the company, interfacing, and building relationships with owners, clients, architects,
general contractors and subcontractors
b. Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promote the

2. Estimating duties include:
a. Enforce and follow M&H Estimating SOP’s
b. Ensure that all bid opportunities are properly vetted as relevant to the KC Asphalt Division
c. Attend and actively participate in the weekly Estimating meeting
i. Review Bid Calendar, Schedule Bid Reviews, etc.
d. Provide support to Estimating Team Lead reinforcing proper bid reviews, Estimator to PM handoffs,
3. Project Management duties include:
a. Monitor and lead project management team to ensure all responsibilities are being fulfilled
b. Enforce and follow M&H Project Management SOP’s
c. Manage cost reports, analyze budget variances, and implement strategies to reduce project costs
d. Assist in the preparation of change orders and coordinate receivables and collections with office
administrative management team to ensure timely and accurate monthly job billings
e. Attend and actively participate in the weekly Divisional Project Management meeting and ensure
that team members are doing likewise
i. Review AR, CIP, Billings, Project Cost, Change Orders, Schedule, etc.
f. Hold daily check-in meetings with the Team to know what is happening on projects
g. Ensure Project Managers are reviewing and updating the Field Supervisor Responsibility matrix
h. Schedule and attend weekly one-on-one meetings with the Contracts Manager as well as ensure
team members are doing likewise
4. Account Management duties include:
a. Enforce and follow M&H Account Management SOP’s
b. Develop, utilize and maintain 30, 60, 90 Day Account Management Plans
c. Maintain communication with accounts that are assigned to you
d. Identify opportunities that are coming up for work with your accounts and track accordingly
e. Perform necessary phone calls, face-to-face meetings, lunches, etc to stay in touch with all
f. Utilize HubSpot for keeping track of account management activity
5. Business Development duties include:
a. Strong business development acumen is vital for this position. You will need to be comfortable
developing new business, and meeting with existing and potential customers daily
b. Develop and implement annual Division Plan outlining strategic measures to reach company
assigned revenue and profit goals
c. Develop partnerships with the Design Community, General Contractors, Facility Managers,
Property Owners, Industrial/ Manufacturing Companies, Etc. to grow revenue
6. Operations duties include:
a. Work with the field operations to ensure that all services are delivered according to contract
specifications, on budget, according to schedule, and with a high standard of quality
b. Attend and actively participate in the weekly Division Meeting as well as ensuring team members
are doing likewise
i. Review Schedules, Critical Project Activities, Job Start-ups, Manpower, etc.
c. Provide technical assistance and expertise for Operations where needed
d. This position is responsible for prioritizing and executing all KC Asphalt projects and activities. The Operations team is designed to support these decisions.
7. Safety/Risk Management duties include:
a. Enforce and support M&H Safety policies including, but not limited to, protocol regarding PPE,
excavations (i.e “white paint), silica exposure, DOT, etc.
a. Timely communication and coordination with the Safety team regarding activities that require their
additional support or oversight.
8. Accounting/Admin/Human Resources duties include:
a. Ensure timely and accurate monthly project billings
b. Assist in the preparation receivables and collections with office administrative management team
c. The AAHR team is designed to support and help you do your job. Therefore they work alongside
you and with you, NOT for you. Proper and timely communication with this team to support you
and achieve necessary deadlines is expected.
9. Complete other assigned duties as required.
