We are seeking a M&A Integration Application Specialist to join our Technology Services team.  This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Technology Services team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional. The M&A Integration Application Specialist will primarily assist in the onboarding and integration of target company software products and platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience working remotely in a team environment, demonstrated experience in software portfolio management, license management, license consolidation, and familiarity with cloud computing environments. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzing acquired company software portfolios
  • Determining fits and gaps between the target company’s application portfolio and J.S. Held’s existing software tools
  • Assisting with onboarding new applications from acquired companies
  • Working with various stakeholders including legal in managing and assigning software license agreements from acquired companies to J.S. Held
  • Coordinate and manage data migrations from acquired company systems
  • Gather, track and report on the software licenses acquired from acquired companies
  • Assist with the evaluation, removal, and reissue of unused and underused software licenses
  • Working closely with the Software Portfolio team to manage license keys and installation documentation, update application inventory, software license renewal calendar
  • Assist with tracking software costs from acquired companies and assisting with budgeting
  • Coordinate security and cyber reviews for software from acquired companies
  • Tracking and managing software user lists
  • Support other Technology Services related activities as required
  • Proactively communicating with stakeholders to understand requirements, timelines, etc.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours in case of an incident or other business requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Skills

  • Professional Level / Full English Fluency
  • Demonstrated experience managing software portfolios resulting from company acquisition activities
  • Knowledge of various software licensing models and software purchasing processes
  • Ability to evaluate software products against requirements and business needs
  • Experience working with software vendors and managing vendor relationships
  • Ability to pay close attention to technical details
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to work on multiple tasks with shifting and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Able to work effectively with other teams and departments to develop effective and efficient solutions
  • Experience collaborating with remote colleagues
  • Experience collaborating with Infrastructure, Network, HelpDesk and Security teams
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and flexibility to work collaboratively with others in a dynamic environment

Education and Overall Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or similar field preferred
  • Working knowledge of the company acquisition process especially as it related to technology and software
  • Experience in managing a corporate software portfolio or application purchasing a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in integrating software application portfolios or similar role
