Regional Sales Director - Government and Utilities

Reporting to the Area Vice President, the Regional Sales Director will be an individual contributor in a specific geographic region responsible for Invoice Cloud sales to the Government, Tax, and Utilities entities within their territory. Leveraging exceptional territory management, relationship management, and prospecting skills you will build relationships with prospective customers and partners through your own outreaches, at client events, and by attending industry tradeshows. You will be measured on your obtainment of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and KPIs, and most importantly your ability to drive account growth and net new revenue.


First 30 Days

  • Gain a complete understanding of the Invoice Cloud platform and value proposition
  • Become proficient in the Invoice Cloud sales tools and selling methodology – Invoice Cloud’s ‘End to End Sales Process.’
  • Observe sales demonstrations conducted by current team members
  • Develop knowledge of current sales activities
  • Gain an understanding of the Invoice Cloud organizational structure
  • Review the sales pipeline and begin to gain an initial understanding of current opportunities

First 60 Days

  • Begin to Develop account plans for key accounts
  • Work with the IC partnership managers to understand the current partner landscape, and how Invoice Cloud leverages partnerships to drive new business
  • Master sales pitch, overcoming common objections, and Invoice Cloud value proposition
  • Begin to generate business across a large account list within your territory
  • Manage your business in
  • Complete all other on-boarding activities as required

First 120+ Days

  • Work with partners to generate strategic relationships within territory
  • Manage a defined sales territory by identifying, developing and closing new business
  • Set and manage customer expectations pre/post-sale to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies
  • Attend various industry conferences and events throughout the year to represent the brand and build rapport with existing and prospective clients
  • Celebrating successes!

Seeking a Regional Sales Director with these previous experiences and capabilities

Execute a consultative, solution selling process; build value, identify decision makers, understand needs/reason for the change, demonstrate solutions, present proposal, negotiate and close deals to meet and exceed quota targets

Qualitative Skills

  • Great team player – identify and execute ideas that will make the organization better
  • A strong presenter and communicator
  • Ability to listen, synthesize information and communicate business and technical information clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities concurrently and actively manage pipeline development of those opportunities

Quantitative Skills

  • 3+ years SaaS Field Experience
  • Stable and progressive history of quota over achievement
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Experience working with or similar CRM
