Job Description

We are currently seeking a Program Manager with 8+ years experience for our team.

The Program Manager is the face of Intevity to our most important clients and serves as their trusted advisor. Our most successful Program Managers live, breathe and exemplify our core values – be a team player, driven to deliver, always find a way and do the right thing. 

This role will require you to be a self-starter who can effectively drive projects to completion and navigate unknowns while also being transparent about progress and where you need support or assistance. You will wear many hats as a Program Manager and can’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves to help the team. You are a thinker AND a doer. 

You will be successful in this role if you are passionate about solving complex business problems, love working in a team environment and find joy in watching clients as well as your team members excel and grow. 

While responsibilities will vary based on project needs, these are some common responsibilities of Program Manager: 

  • Responsible for overall relationship, experience, success and health of 1-2 enterprise level clients

  • Work with client executive stakeholders to understand their key business requirements and challenges; distill those requirements into an actionable engagement plan showing incremental ROI

  • Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders at multiple levels (executive to project level)

  • Proactively manage client relationships to identify future opportunities within the organization

  • Manage and lead project team (project manager/scrum master, UX/designer, developer, solution architect, data analysts)

  • Support team in the creation of project timelines and milestones

  • Ability and desire to work on contracts with ambiguity; comfortable working with an agile mentality and being flexible to clients needs

  • Serve as a client initial escalation point

  • Manage client budget and revenue forecast

  • Plan for resource allocation across FTE and contractors

  • Desire to mentor junior team members 

  • Potential need for travel to client offices (as needed)

As a Program Manager, you should also have experience and/or a comfort level with participating in or performing the following activities:

  • Interview project stakeholders / clients to acquire feature definition and priority

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope for projects that are loosely defined (from an idea or charter, to foundational requirements, to epics, and finally to actionable user stories that can be handed to the delivery team)

  • Facilitate the creation of project requirements and supporting assets (including requirements documentation, wireframes, etc)

  • Author user stories from project assets (requirements, wireframes, etc).

  • Conduct sprint planning, facilitate work-task estimation with the delivery team, and track / report on the velocity of a given sprint

  • Identify risks / gaps, create mitigation plans for each, and escalate to the client and project leadership based on impact and priority

  • Facilitate sprint retrospectives with the delivery team -- including collecting and acting upon lessons learned to improve overall efficiency and team velocity


Primary Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8+ years experience leading project teams or complex programs

  • Experience in a professional services, client-facing environment

  • Able to manage remote / virtual project teams in a fast-paced delivery environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Quality minded and understands how to empower teams to deliver quality

  • Able to adapt quickly to changing customer priorities across multiple projects

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all facets of the team and customer

While travel is part of the job requirement to service clients and team build, we ensure it is asked for and planned as thoughtfully and safely as possible.  Travel amounts do vary by engagement, but a Program Manager can expect to travel once per quarter for 2-3 days on average to build client relationships, team relationships and hold workshops in-person.
