CONTAINER DRAYAGE operation has an opening for an EXPERIENCED person to assist with the daily management of our customer service department. The candidate MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH IMPORT / EXPORT CONTAINER DRAYAGE. You will work under the department manager to assist with overseeing a small group of customer service representatives. The person we are looking for MUST HAVE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE, has to enjoy working under pressure, and is willing to be a team player. This is a terrific opportunity for a person that is looking for a secure future with the possibility of moving into a managerial position.
Responsibilities:
· Entering customer delivery orders into our system.
· Monitoring vessel arrivals and up-dating ETA's.
· Checking container availability at ocean terminals
· Scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments with customers.
· Providing exceptional customer service when responding to customer inquiries.
· Scheduling container pick up and return appointments at APM and Global Terminals.
Skills:
· Working experience in customer service related to PIER TRUCKING
· Ability to think strategically and to direct.
· Effective communications skills
· Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
Proficient computer skills ( Access / Excel / E-mail communication)
