HR Generalist

Global non-profit is looking for an HR Generalist to work in their Chicago offices. The ideal candidate has experience with employee relations, recruiting and staffing, performance management, training and development, and employee motivation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Employee Motivation
    • Lead of events committee
    • General Employee Communications
    • Employee Experience
  • Contributor to organizational culture strategy. Implement strategies, especially in areas of responsibility
  • Training, Development, Onboarding
    • Ensure 30, 60, 90-day training plans are designed and completed by managers
    • Onboarding Lead (continue to assess for process improvements)
    • Career Development/Coaching
    • Internal Training and setup of External Training as Needed
    • Training Assessments and ensure training is tracked
  • Recruiting and Staffing
    • All recruitment (except top-level executives) and related processes
    • Job descriptions
    • Promotions/Demotions/Transfers
    • Staffing Agency/Headhunter management
    • HRIS – HRIS/Payroll and Applicant Tracking System
    • Employer Branding/Social Collaboration Lead
    • Candidate Experience
  • Performance Management (Split)
    • First 90-days (6 months for executive staff)
    • Setup processes to obtain regular feedback from manager and employees at regular intervals
    • Ensure formal 90-day evaluations are completed
  • Serve as backup for HR Manager

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience with state, local, and federal employment regulations
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience
