Production Test Technician - Located in Joppa MD

The Production Test Technician is responsible for testing of all machines built by the Production Department. The PTT, in collaboration with the assembly team and engineering, will execute testing of all systems and run said equipment to verify operations. Included in the testing process will be the testing all mechanical/electrical components, coordinating repairs as needed with assembly teams, collaborate with electrical controls techs as needed, and preparation of final verification reports.

Responsibilities:

Setup and prepare completed production units for final QA testing prior to release.

Accurate testing, analysis, & reporting of completed production units.

Maintain QA Test Dept. machinery.

Support production personnel.

Support Customer Service with service calls.

Travel to customer site for service repairs may occur if necessary.

Typical Major Task:

Maintain day-to-day activities in QA Test Department.

Prepare completed production units for final QA testing prior to release. This will include applying high voltage power to the unit, making sure unit is securely cordoned off and ready for test, filling unit with proper solutions for testing (Water/RP/Detergents).

Download operation programs on PLC/HMI equipped units and assist EE with debugging programs.

Run tests following supplied guidelines, record results and capture data. This will include checking amp draws, power voltage, pump pressures, and overall machine functionality as designed.

Document and record test results on inspection traveler forms and maintain ‘Test Log’ as each unit is completed.

Inform Project Engineer and Production Build Team lead of any non-conformances found during testing so they can be corrected.

Tear down and prepare unit for next process (prep and paint/shipping) after QA testing is complete.

Maintain a clean safe work environment at all times.

Typical Support and Minor Task:

Maintain and repair test equipment as needed.

Conduct prototype tests for functionality and durability.

Support Engineering with R&D product testing and development.

Interact with customers during run-off and assist other personnel with customer run-offs.
