Director of Recurring Revenue, North America

After nearly two decades of continued growth and operational success in pioneering the work of protecting the poor from violence, IJM has become an $80 million organization, of which over $15 million is in recurring revenue from North America. As IJM continues this trajectory of growth and scaling of its impact, IJM's North America, Regional Director of Partner Programs is seeking a collaborative leader to partner with him in the development of the North America Recurring Revenue strategy. The Director of Recurring Revenue, North America will be expected to winsomely engage and coach acquisition teams both in the US and Canada, and provide the necessary brand ownership, accountability and standards for our two signature recurring revenue programs-Freedom Partner and Partner with a Field Office (PFO).

This position is based at the US Headquarters in the Washington, DC area or the Canada Headquarters based in London, Ontario.
Identify and define best practices, KPIs and standards of activating recurring donors;
Lead region in pursuing a minimum of 10% growth in recurring revenue year-over-year;
Ensure retention goal of 85% is maintained year-over-year;
Pursue rigorous performance measures and adapt as necessary;
Develop donor reactivation plan and donor loyalty program;
Work with internal and external creative agencies and project managers to develop fundraising communications and promotional materials, and to ensure that all targets and requirements are met on time and within budget;
Identify innovative opportunities for IJM to create new recurring revenue streams and engage individual donors;
Accountable to distribute and coach country teams based on standards and best practices, and provide ongoing support through an entire Freedom Partner acquisition cycle;
Responsible to winsomely support constituent facing teams in getting big Freedom Partner wins. This would include working with audience teams to develop the strategy to acquire Freedom Partners from a project and then working with them throughout the year to see those goals exceeded;
Responsible to lead innovation and learning for recurring donor acquisition across the region.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in communications or related field;
7 + years of marketing experience, with a proven track record of acquiring and/or retaining $1,000,000+ in recurring revenue;
7+ years of brand, program or product ownership/leadership.

Technical Competencies
Proven fundraiser;
Expert level use of CRM systems;
Expert in marketing;
A strong understanding of all platforms (i.e. digital, web, print, event) utilized for recurring donor acquisition;
Strong written and oral communication skills.
