Location: Portland, Oregon

Status: Full-time

Travel: 10%

IIA is hiring an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Lead at its corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon. The position requires working in a professional environment in IIA’s downtown Portland, Oregon office.

The Senior Software Engneer / Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping IIA’s platform strategy. He/she will be the first member of a IIA’s planned software development team. She/he will assume responsbility for in process software development activities while architecting IIA’s next generation platform and building out a software development infrastrcuture that will be used by subsequent members of the software development team.


  • Interface with executives and clients to gather business requirements and objectives.

  • Translate business requirements and objectives into technical applications and solutions.

  • Enhance and maintain IIA’s existing marketing and portal platforms.

  • Design, develop and implement IIA’s next generation platform. This platform will support the delivery of IIA’s current services and planned enhancements.

  • Build infrastrcuture to support IIA’s software development activities

  • Determine key roles and responsbilities for IIA’s software development activities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

What We Would Like To See From You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • 5+years of working experience in a software development role

  • Experience building modern, responsive application using modern frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)

  • Experience with content management systems (Wordpress, Expression Engine, etc.) and frameworks (Django CMS, Drupal, etc.)

  • Experience with developing applications that intergrate with CRM systems using APIs (Salesforce experience a plus)

  • Experience building applications on cloud platforms (Amazon, Microsoft, Google) inlcuding use of AI services.

Compensation and Benefits
