What you'll do:
  • Develop, support, and lead activities and programs on key equipment
  • Work closely with vendors and OEM's on control system, robotics, PLC's, PC's and manufacturing related systems
  • Supply technical support to maintenance personnel in the form of procedures, training, troubleshooting, and assisting in repairs
  • Manage capital projects for manufacturing, facility, and process equipment improvements
  • Implement equipment and procedures for manufacturing processes to meet business needs
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues
  • Interpret and prepare simple and complex electrical drawings
  • Recommend and source upgrades and solutions to aging control systems
  • Ensure environmental control systems are online and operating to specification
  • Stay up to date on new technology and lead implementation to remain competitive
  • Minimal travel for training and testing of equipment to include potential overnight or international travel
  • Work at heights, hazardous locations, and hot areas may be required
  • Potential holiday, weekend support coverage, and over time work is required based on equipment availability. Weekend rotation is required.

  • You enjoy working hands-on, and have great communication skills
  • You like staying on top of different market trends, and consider yourself a subject matter expert
  • You can manage the day to day, while shifting priorities with long term projects

What you have:
  • BS in Electrical, controls, robotics, automation, or related engineering discipline with at least 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated skills working with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Factory Talk, Fanuc robotics, VFD's, ABB, Parker, Schneider, Emerson, on drives, PLC's and HMI's
  • Demonstrated understanding of web conveyance and tension control techniques is preferred-not required
  • Knowledge of engineering principles/theories/formulas/standards/practices
  • Analytical & problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to manage, plan and implement technical projects including the justification & management of capital investments
  • Strong communicator with effective interpersonal skills, good judgment, and decision-making abilities
  • Well acquainted with NFPA-70E and similar electrical safety programs and requirements
