Job Description

This position will be based in Little Rock, AR. and will support the South regional area when needed, including MS, LA. You may also be asked to travel and work outside of your region.

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician (Electronic Table Games) at InterBlock Gaming USA will help us ensure customer satisfaction. This is attained through our unwavering attention to detail. We are looking for experienced technicians who take pride in their work and look at it like an ‘art form’. Our product is exceptionally complex and it will challenge you. Are you solution driven? Are you able to troubleshoot and fix what others around you can’t? Do you enjoy working with electronics, software, Networks? We are looking for a person who is known to deliver above expectations and takes ‘extreme ownership’ into their craft. InterBlock USA is on a Lean journey.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine Preventative Maintenance
    • Tasks MUST be completed to standard and within time allocation
    • Pull performance data-logs (required each time a PM is performed)
  • Conduct product installations at customer sites
    • Inspect ALL components while unpacking
    • Utilize provided work-instructions to ensure organizational/gaming compliance
    • Work within boundaries (scope) of project
  • Resolve field service tickets
    • Assess faults, identify failure modes
    • Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues
    • Tasks MUST be completed to standard, we do not operate with ‘shortcuts’
    • Update/change game settings per management recommendation(s)
    • Utilize ANVEO tech reporting system to request parts (if needed)
  • Perform daily ‘standard’ work
    • Track time for travel & service activity
    • Write ‘findings’ report (what parts, diagnostics were performed, step-by-step)
    • Complete required trainings on-time
      • Take quarterly skill-assessments and pass with an 80% or above
      • Complete CANVAS trainings each month
    • Ensure labor utilization is maximized by identifying additional tasks that can be performed at a customer site, such as:
      • Clean current product on the customer’s floor, Bill Acceptors, etc.
      • Ensure product configuration is correct
  • Suggest process improvements
  • Must find satisfaction in troubleshooting to assure root cause identification
  • Must work well in a team environment, both within and outside of the company
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during uncertainty and always present a professional appearance
  • Performs other related duties, as required
  • Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • This is NOT a 9-5 job!
  • Occasional long work days (9-14 hours)
  • Ready to work first thing in the morning or start late at night, or ready to leave when a call comes in
  • Traveling on a daily basis and overnight travel is required
  • Some weekend coverage is required (rotation)
  • Experience with electronics assembly/diagnostics (REQUIRED)
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Windows operating systems
    • Networking: Programming switches, LAN, Terminating Ethernet
  • Must be driven to perform the BEST quality of work you can
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Obtain multiple required work permits through EXTENSIVE background checks. Must disclose all federal, state and local infractions
  • Clean driving record
  • Must satisfactorily complete the 1-month company training program
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers, multi-meters, and calipers
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as ANVEO

Education and Experience:

  • At least three years of related experience required in:
    • Casino gaming
    • Telephone tech
    • Cable tech
    • ATM tech
    • DOD (Department of Defense) complex electrical systems
    • IT service tech: Routers, switches, Network operations center
  • Proven ability to work in a cross functional team environment
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • CompTIA A+, N+ certification preferred but not required
  • 2-year technical degree in:
    • Computer repair
    • Network technology or equivalent experience
    • Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) (Not required)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing or stooping
  • Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds at times
  • Must maintain dexterity and the ability to complete any/all required tasks
