Job Title: Product Owner - Accounting Automation
Job Location: Phoenix, AZ
Job Type: W2 Contract
This job is a member of the Finance Team within the Finance Division.
Responsible for assisting the Revenue Accounting Automation team as a product owner internal and customer facing products
Responsible for understanding product vision and writing user stories to effectively communicate the business needs. This role requires strong analytical skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
The product owner is expected to liaison with multiple teams, adapt and work in a rapidly changing environment and relate Revenue accounting system processes with business objectives.
Assesses impact to Revenue Accounting applications for Internal and External Projects
Refines and optimizes revenue accounting processes to benefit from such projects
Works with business teams to elicit business needs and writes user stories portraying the business needs
Ensures well defined acceptance criteria for stories and works with agile product teams to ensure user stories are communicated and understood by team
Support the agile product teams through the project implementation life cycle from start to finish
Supports the QA team in understanding project requirements and support QA team in ensuring good test coverage
Validates that acceptance criteria is met, accepts user stories and facilitate demos to stakeholders
Communicates project status to the stakeholders through the project lifecycle
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field, and 3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst/Business Analyst working with IT
Experience working in a cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Experience working with Mainframe based systems
Airline experience preferred, specifically in the area of ticketing
