Job Description

We are currently working with a top 25 national property management company who is looking to hire a Facilities Manager for a large Military Community in Grand Forks, ND! If you are a strong leader with a proven track record of success as a Facilities Manager, we are looking for you. This individual will oversee a large military housing community of over 500 housing units and a large maintenance team.

Position Description:

  • Responsible for selecting vendors, soliciting bids, and overseeing major capital projects in assigned region
  • Provide management support, training and oversight of daily maintenance operations training and development of employees, and customer service to an assigned team comprised of multiple Maintenance Supervisors within their portfolio.
  • Builds and develops maintenance team
  • Responsible for monitoring financial and performance and budgeting
  • Partners with both Senior Management and the Community Management team to audit and improve maintenance and repair and unit turn initiatives
  • Creates and implements maintenance policies and procedures
  • Responsible for monitoring regular physical property inspections to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all assets.
  • Responsible for forecasting maintenance needs and instituting an effective time management program for all personnel to ensure resident satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required plus five (5) years of supervisory maintenance experience
  • Universal H.V.A.C. certification.
  • Strong background and understanding of electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, prepare and initiate contracts.
