Description/Job SummaryPosition ObjectiveNational Account Manager is responsible for the management of Grocery & Food Service sales and marketing activities to achieve targeted growth and meet sales objectives. Responsibilities include selling to assigned customers, directing brokers, finalizing pricing, strategic planning, promotion and annual budgeting. This posting is for an Account Manager based in Livonia, MI.Major Areas of Accountability Conduct sales activities with assigned existing customer & prospect accounts to maintain relationships while increasing base sales Actively develop prospects & targets, prioritize opportunities and develop strategic proposals to gain incremental business Identify, pursue and develop new product or application opportunities Co-ordinate activities of Brokers Collect market intelligence and customer decision criteria to recommend effective sales proposals Skillfully present compelling supply package presentations ...
Review sales progress regularly against goals and re-align efforts to ensure targets are being successfully achieved Become proficient with the Grocery/Food Service product bundle Interact and coordinate with other departments in order to provide customer satisfaction Develop annual sales budget & strategic plan and execute accordingly Coordinate with marketing personnel to develop sales promotion programs Attend sales trade shows to promote products and develop business opportunities Carry out special projects assigned by the business unitQualifications Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Ability to travel/drive with a valid driver license. * At least 8 years of sales and business development experience with a proven track record of positive customer relationships and sales growth.
Other experience in business management and marketing is a plus.
