client's Office of the Vice Provost for Technology and Learning is seeking a Course Developer contractor to support MOOCs
Note: Work location will likely be remote, at least for the next few months.
- Keys to success in this role include:
- Attention to detail
- The ability to project-manage more than 125 courses, many requiring little to no attention, a few consuming significant bandwidth
- Knowledge of edX; in lieu of it, extensive verifiable, developer-level experience in other learning management systems
In addition to knowing how to develop and support courses on edX, the individual in the role should have a solid understanding of instructional design best practices. Tasks include: migrating courses from open edX to edX; QAing courses prior to publishing; responding to bugs and learners' inquiries; developing new courses; and other work.
Education and experience:
Bachelors degree; advanced knowledge of edX or similar; familiarity with course development and instructional design best-practices. At least 2 years of professional experience.
