HR Specialist, Benefits and leaves (Mandarin Required)

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the entire HR Shared Service Center team to ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day benefits operation run smoothly and accurately

  • Interact with employees to answer and resolve employee questions/issues on benefit and leaves

  • Program administration including auditing and reconciling spreadsheets

  • Facilitate and educate new hires on benefits program during the new hire orientation

  • Work alongside other benefits team members to roll-out the annual open enrollment process

  • Pull and format reports for internal department needs on a regular basis

  • Assist with benefits budget including requesting PO’s, getting invoices approved and paid

  • Assist with benefits related trainings and education, including designing and maintaining content

  • Other special projects and duties as needed

  • Evaluate, approve, and continually audit online enrollments, qualifying events, and terminations

  • Administrate leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable federal and state laws (FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, ADA, TDI, LTD, etc.)

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate contact with all managers, HRBPs and employees on leave related procedure, policy, and trainings.

Capabilities

  • Benefits administration experience with a solid knowledge of Federal, Statutory and Local regulatory laws and ordinances such as FMLA, CFRA, SF HCSO, etc.

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively communicate benefits at all levels

  • Enthusiasm in a fast-paced, demanding environment while managing sensitive, confidential issues

  • Desire to learn and grow in a close team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and above

  • Preferred 3+ years of benefits experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Industry knowledge and corporate benefit implementation and administration experience

  • Knowledge of regulatory, compliance and reporting requirements (federal, state and local)

  • Team Player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills

  • Detail oriented and easily adaptable to change with a rapidly growing environment
