Role: Sr. UX Designer -Software Engineering.

Location: 2350 Qume Drive, San Jose, CA, USA, 95131-1807

Duration: 09 months on W2

Description

Assignment is 6-9 months with a possible extension OR possible conversion to FTE

HYBRID - Must be local

Responsibilities

Building storyboards to conceptualize designs to accurately convey project plans and users' needs.

Supporting design research for various features; conduct, interpret, and summarize UX research, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to finalize findings.

Translating ideas/research findings into use flows, wireframes, and interface designs that lead to intuitive user experience.

Collaborating with team members and stakeholders on software UX deliverables and designs.

Applying and updating Design System in order to ensure uniformity within the software engineering organization and solidify brand recognition with our customers.

Creating user interface prototypes when necessary (optional depending on skillset).

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

5+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design.

Understanding of user research techniques and how they can be applied to problem-solving.

Understanding of the user-centered design process.

Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.

Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Bachelor/Masters/Doctorate in HCI/design.

Proficient with industry standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Cloud).

Portfolio to showcase your work.

Desired

Knowledge of immunology or other life sciences applications is a nice-to-have.

Experience working with medical instruments or life science instruments is a plus.
