Responsibilities may include: participating in new product development, representing the customers technical needs, creating competitive analysis from a technical perspective, developing and presenting technical product training materials. Works with the sales team to help resolve customers technical questions, participates in customers visits, and presentations. Owns creation and maintenance of data sheets and application notes. Individuals act as technical experts, consultants, analysts, and program managers. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement. Assists in providing technical support for one or many product(s) and/or product family. Your core responsibilities entail:
Developing various collaterals' specific to enabling RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability)
technology, e.g., EDS, PDG, RAS IVG, and RAS Training/Workshop.
Working experience with SDP (Software Development Platform) and/or CRB (Customer Reference Board) as per the defined use-case.
This would include but not limited to:
Installing CPU, Memory, and PCIe cards, updating BIOS, loading standard OS's such as RedHat Linux, SUSE Linux, and MSFT WinServer'12.
Configuring the servers for remote log-in and control.
Developing Technology Integration Guide documenting key learning from the integration efforts
Develop Validation Recipes for various RAS features for customer enabling.
Setup lab bench with appropriate error injection tools and support testing various RAS features. This would also include collecting the test data.
Document key learning and support developing "RAS Validation Recipes"
Support the team in developing Demos showcasing the RAS technology use-cases and features to internal and external customers
Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and debug skillsQualifications:
BS with 6+ years of experience in Computer or Electrical engineering or MS with 4+ years of experience in Computer or Electrical Engineering
4+ years of experience in installing and configuring Hardware components of a server, e.g., CPU, memory, HDD, and PCIe cards, Software components such as BIOS and operating systems.
2+ years of experience in Scripting - Python/Bash/TCL and other languages
3+ years of experience Integrate various RAS ingredients including Hardware, Firmware, OS, and Applications on a SDP
2+ years of experience in RAS functions (Reliability and system error flows)
Technical knowledge of computer design and components (Desktop/Workstation/Server)
4+ years of experience Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems
4+ years of Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, QEMU, etc)
2+ years of experience with Flash Programmers, network and SMBus Protocol Analyzers
