The Company: In operation since 1950, our client provides comprehensive behavioral health and family counseling services in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington counties in the Florida Panhandle. They offer objective, professional help with personal problems ranging from family life adjustment difficulties to stress reactions, substance abuse and mental illness.
The Position: A Program Director is responsible for researching, planning, developing and implementing an organization's programs. Their responsibilities typically include the following: Hire, train and be a motivating mentor to staff. Our client offers the following compensation and benefits:

Requirements:
- Master's degree in a mental health discipline
- Five years of post-degree mental health services experience, one year of which must have been supervisory experience
- Florida license as a mental health professional (LCSW, LCS, LMHC, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)
- Ensure that the program operates in accordance with: (a) policies and procedures of client (b) contract provisions, (c) legal rules and (d) professional standards
- Collaborate with the President/Chief Executive Officer and other Senior Management Program Directors to formulate and achieve the Center's objectives
- Plan operations of the program. Organize staff to most effectively subdivide the work of the program and assign responsibility and delegate authority as necessary to accomplish this work. Provide after-hour staff consultation as needed
- Supervise and develop program staff. Initiate hiring, firing, and personnel disciplinary processes as necessary
- Construct program budgets and achieve program fiscal objectives
- Respond to the behavioral health needs of persons in our community through development of new services and programs and securement of new service contracts or grants
- Establish proper liaison with other agencies and community groups to further the objectives of the program and the Center
