This Sr. Systems Administrator position would be eligible for very competitive benefits package. Job Summary: The Sr. Systems Administrator is the lead technician on a support team. The Sr. Systems Administrator is directly responsible for providing the most efficient technical support services to assigned clients by best utilizing the resources of the team. The Sr. Systems Administrator is the escalation path for the System Administrators as well as the operational visionary for the clients assigned to their support team. The Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for the successful operation of the assigned client's networks. The Sr. Systems Administrator drives client satisfaction, ensures contract terms and service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and maximizes team efficiency. Qualified candidates must be able to recommend changes and communicate technical challenges directly with the customer as well as work alongside System Administrators to provide the best experience with technology for their clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proactively review and maintain IT infrastructure for clients including servers, storage, virtualization and network solutions, ensuring that the customer environment is in line with defined standards.
  • Technical ownership of client network/server environments.
  • Provide reactive technical support.
  • Microsoft's core business applications: Windows Server/Desktop, O365, SQL, SharePoint, Azure.
  • Remote access solutions: RDS VPN, Terminal Services.
  • Backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Networking: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Other hardware peripherals.
  • Manages, plans, staffs, implements policies, objectives, and activities to ensure the organization provides timely, reliable and quality computer support services to its clients.
  • Establishes priorities, sets deadlines.
  • Work with Account Managers and vCIOs to provide information for Stratigic Business reviews.
  • Analyzes data necessary to identify trends in service delivery, especially those indicating systemic issue at client sites. Root Cause Analysis
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and service level agreement targets are met.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Reports Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and status of strategic initiatives to the Service Manager.
  • Stays abreast of advances in technology.
  • Provides direct IT support and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in Operations Level 10 meeting with responsibilities to communicate up/down between those meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Management and service delivery or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • IT certifications preferred (Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Citrix, Cisco, VMware VCP)

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Mental Demands:

The mental demands are day-to-day communications with team members and reporting manager using effective, professional communication consistent with the culture. The Infrastructure Administrator position must have the mental ability to handle stressful situations and demands for 80% of their day.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the Infrastructure Administrator may need to focus within an environment of other verbal discussions, distractions, and interferences. This position is conducted indoors with climate control. May need to travel between client and facility locations, therefore will be exposed to outdoor elements for short periods of time.
