IT Field Technician

Integrated Health Systems (IHS) is seeking a customer service focused individuals with a proven record, a wide knowledge base of computers and networks to provide remote and on-site technical support and customer service.

IHS is a leading IT support and mobile technology provider for the Senior Living spectrums, that offer start-to-finish IT solutions which allows facilities to focus on their residents rather than managing their technology

The role of the IT Field Network Infrastructure & Implementation Specialist is challenging, rewarding, and requires a strong and vast technical skill set. The primary job focus is to travel though out the US to install and implementing a full range of networking solutions for our clients.

Essential Duties:

· Install and configure IT equipment; this includes but is not limited to PC hardware, laptops, wall kiosk, firewall/routers, switches, Ethernet cabling and wireless access points.

· Pull and terminate Cat5e & Cat6 data cable, from wall plate to patch panel.

· Configure and implement software on PC and servers.

· Provide on-site end-user training on all products including hardware and software.

· Configuration and set up of customer’s printers/copiers.

· Carry out safe/responsible work habits to avoid communicable diseases and infections, damage to property and to ensure maximum system up time and functionality.

· Perform site survey; compile and document inventory of pertinent IT equipment and systems with images, discovery documentation and software.

· Build reports for each site visit and summit to the project coordinator.

· Exhibit professional appearance and conduct in accordance with Company standards while working with end-users and the general public.

· Interface with end-users, other service technicians, technical support personnel, and other technical professionals and have the communication skills to convey the situation in a tactful, professional, diplomatic and logical manner.

· Communicate effectively with adverse, difficult and potentially discouraged clinic management and/or clinic staff.

· Must demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations, managing personal time and company resources with minimum supervision.

 

Knowledge and Skills Required:

· Must be willing to travel nationwide up to 75% of the time with most weekends at home.

· 2-5 years of on-site (hands-on) IT field support experience.

· Ability and knowledge of operating hand and power tools.

· Run, pull, fish and terminate data cables as necessary.

· Comprehensive computer, peripheral, wireless and wired networks, and basic operating system knowledge.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Publisher & Visio) and online applications.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proven aptitude to organize work in an efficient manner and succeed in a changing environment

· Solid grammatical skills, both written and spoken.

· Able to communicate effectively with team members and clients by telephone, e-mail and in person.

· Ability to listen and explain solutions to non-technical users.

· Must have current valid driver's license and clean driving record.

· Must have a personal credit card for occasional out of pocket expenses.

· A familiarity with hospital and/or patient care environments and willingness to work around and near medical personnel and patients is preferred but not required.

· Ability to focus in multiple, high-energy, dynamic environments, under pressure.

· Desire to continually learn and grow.

· Ability to lift up to 75lbs.

· Able to endure long periods of standing, bending, and stooping.
