We are looking for a Non-mechanical Claims Customer Service Representative located in our Schaumburg office. This individual is responsible for providing effective customer service for all incoming calls and reviews incoming documents for accuracy and legibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls regarding inquiries about the status of claims
  • Record phone interaction by documenting detail notes and comments into the SCS system
  • Provide accurate claim information to dealers, agents, lienholders, and customers
  • Enter concise claim notes into the SCS system
  • Split PDF files into individual documents and attach in the appropriate document located within the claim
  • Determine if all required claim documents are accurate and legible to properly adjudicate the claim
  • Initiate the automated follow-up letter process to request missing claim documents
  • Initiate the automated claim payment letters to customers and lenders
  • Create claim denial letters
  • Communicate with dealers, repair facilities and customers on claim payment issues using system generate letters
  • Process GAP settlement breakdowns received from insurance carriers
  • Process Open Claim reports verifying the status of claims

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one to three years’ experience in customer service
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent record-keeping and organization skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
