Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Responsibilities

• Service a designated book of business as relating to marketing, claims, and administration
• Respond to client inquiries, maintain documentation of communications and issue resolutions
• Support implementation of new coverage by setting up account, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with client and insurance company
• Gather and compile exposure information from the client, including loss-run schedules
• Request and collect quotes from insurance companies
• Audit quotes, binders, and endorsements & makes requests for changes as needed
• Process audits and do audit analysis
• Receive policy, then update and check to ensure accuracy
• Update specifications, applications, and summary information to reflect changes
• Monitor receipt of quotes from insurance company
• Bind coverage as instructed
• Gather and compile information for new business submissions
• Input client information into agency management system
• Generate materials for presentations and meetings
• Create and send compliance communications as directed
• Issue and processes client invoicing
• Work with agent to assist in collection or billing issues
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent
• Two to five years of client services experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook & Excel)
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Understanding of insurance industry
• Ability to complete continuing education requirements
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures
