Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Machine Field Service Technician to repair and calibrate measurement equipment including hardness testers and surface plates.  We are looking for experience individuals but are willing to train the right person. Successful candidates are meticulous, detail oriented, self-starters who are committed to quality, precision and timeliness.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Calibrate and repair surface plates both granite and metal.

·         Problem solve and repair with minimal support

·         Handle all problems and job discrepancies, or direct them to the office A.S.A.P.

·         Pay attention to job requirements – ex. quoted vs. actual work required

·         Exceptional communication skills with internal and external customers

·         Adhere to ISO standards

·         Work 45-55 hours per week

·         Travel up to 80% with overnights

Qualifications You Should Have:

·         Mechanical aptitude

·         Knowledge of basic hand tools for measurement

·         PC knowledge – Windows capable

·         Valid Driver’s License

·         Availability to travel up to 80%

Requirements You Must Have:

·         Excellent communication skills (with both customers and co-workers)

·         Reliable vehicle with current insurance

·         Valid Driver’s License

Additional Qualifications Appreciated but not Required:

·         Two years’ experience or working toward (2) two-year technical degree

DRESS CODE:
Inspec’s dress code policy reflects the reputation of the company and the safety of employees. All clothing needs to be neat, clean, without holes or frays and appropriate for the work place. Tee Shirts are not allowed. Jeans are not recommended but if needed for “dirty” work they should be nice and neat. Women wearing leggings must wear tops which come to mid-thigh, other (shorter) tops will not be allowed. Open toe shoes, shoes with a heel higher than 2” and tennis/gym shoes must be safe within the are that you work. Facial piercings (nose, eyebrow, Monroe) are limited to one (1) very small stud piercing; no hoops, rings or gauges allowed. Tattoos on the face, head, neck or hands are not permitted.
