Position: Director, Operations and Facilities - Full Time/Exempt

Reports to: Assistant General Manager
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the strategic workflow, transactions, and processes for the company's facilities, operations, and safety and security departments including daily operations and event operation logistics.
- Provide departmental leadership, personnel oversight, and ongoing professional development for facilities, operations, and safety and security team members.
- Prepare, review, and manage facilities and capital budgets to ensure organizational compliance and the maximization of operational efficiencies.
- Oversight of various functions to include event setup, conversions and tear down, facility inspections, maintenance, scheduling, and light constructions.
- Implement and maintain records for equipment inventory and maintenance performed on all building machines/equipment.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures and ensure timely completion of required departmental, and company related paperwork.
- Work collaboratively with clients, third-party event vendors, internal departments, and all stadium stakeholders and partners in order to improve overall efficiencies and operations, to include the use of facilities and competing schedules.
- Build best practice tools and processes which anticipate needs, prioritize and maximize investment dollars, and drive the best possible operational performance.
- Develop and implement deferred and routine maintenance and housekeeping plans for the company and shared use facilities, working within allocated budgets; oversee and coordinate work of third-party contractors.
- Oversee the maintenance of physical security systems in venues, including camera systems, access control, radio communications, and security software systems.
- Ensures adherence to safety codes, with specific adherence to OSHA guidelines and other safety-related codes. 85-146951.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and event-specific security goals consistent with the strategic plan, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Actively participate in department head senior management and staff meetings. Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with all the other departments internally and externally.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, sports management, business administration or related fields.
- Possess a minimum of five to seven years of progressively growing experience in assigned competencies or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
- Five or more years of demonstrated success in facilities management or related fields.
- Experience managing full-time, part-time and/or student staff.
- Demonstrated ability to administer high-quality events.
- Excellent organizational, management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and conductresearch and offer ideas for solutions.
- Demonstrate flexibility and creative problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities that require strong project management and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience developing a healthy culture within an organization where employees feel valued, engaged, and united toward the common goals of championship-level performance.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length.
- Ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise.
- Available to work on event days including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in facilities management, sports management, business administration or related fields.
- Experience managing collegiate athletics facilities.
- Experience leading and developing capital projects.
