We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will support our product development, client implementation, and leadership teams with insights gained from analyzing big data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities, churn analysis, and conversion optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. We will be hiring for our headquarter office in Baltimore, Maryland.
Responsibilities for Senior Data Scientist
· Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging big data to drive business solutions.
· Mine and analyze data from company big databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development and business strategies.
· Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
· Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
· Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other healthcare outcomes.
· Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
· Coordinate with product, customer experience, and engineering teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
· Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
· Work with the existing data science team and collaborate with the company’s data engineering team to streamline product roadmap.
Minimum Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field.
· Proficient in Python and SQL.
· Strong knowledge of statistics, data mining, and Machine Learning.
Preferred Qualifications
· Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
· Strong ability to lead analytics and data science solutions end-to-end. Ability to develop analytics plans, prioritize tasks, and deliver results.
· 3+ years of experience applying advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, statistical tests, A/B test, etc.) to recognize patterns from real-world data.
· 3+ years of experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
· 3+ years of experience developing and optimizing a variety of machine learning algorithms (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.).
· Experience in processing, filtering, and analyzing structured and unstructured datasets using tools such as Azure, Hadoop.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
· A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
· Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
· Past work experience in healthcare data science is a plus.
